The Brown Family
Meet the Brown family: Steve, April, Chloe (7), Vance (6) and Sophie (4). The Browns are missionaries with the International Mission Board in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic, working with Czech and American partners to see individuals come to know Christ and go on to form new churches.
Steve said his family’s focus over the past four years has been building relationships with those who do not know Christ, and living lives that portray to them His character.
“That is the most effective thing we have done,” Steve said. “Find lost people, spend time where they’re at, and work with them in coming to Christ.”
Steve said he, April, and the children have consistently invited people to their Wednesday night Bible discussion group and Sunday night Bible study, and there are now 14 Czechs attending those groups.
Other ways the Browns are reaching out to people include a group for mothers that April leads, friendships Steve has with men on his basketball team, and the English teaching they have been invited to do in two different schools in Olomouc.
The purpose of every effort, Steve said, is “showing people Jesus Christ; pouring our lives into them and seeing them become believers and planting churches through that.”
