Czechs Want “More”
During the ministry in the Upper Square today, Jason Hales, a member of the Hejcin crew, had an exciting experience he was eager to share.
Jason said, “I was giving out books and stuff as much as I [could], and I had the thought, ‘maybe I should stand here and let God bring me someone.’ So I did.”
He said he stood in that place and it was only a few moments before a man walked right up to him.
“He started talking to me in Czech and I don’t understand what he’s saying and I just say [‘here’] and give him the Gospel of Matthew,” Jason said. “He looks through it and then he gives it back to me.”
Disappointed but not ready to give up, Jason tried to give the man a New Testament.
“He [gave] it back to me and I kind of understood ‘maybe he wants something in Czech,’ so I pulled out my only copy of ‘More Than a Carpenter’ and he got really excited and took that and left,” he said.
After another few minutes in the same spot, Jason was approached by another man who wanted a copy of “More Than a Carpenter.” Jason did not have another copy to give, so eventually the second man lead him over to where the first one had moved off to, and both began indicating they wanted two more copies of the book.
Jason led the two men over to other IWCers who had more materials with them, to see whether more copies of the book could be found. In the end the men walked away with three copies of “More Than a Carpenter” and two New Testaments.
The encounter caused Jason to think about all the different ways God might have been using the IWCers in the Square today.
“My theory is that the first two Czech guys were actually Christians, and they were trying to lead the third guy to Christ. I’m not sure, but that was the feeling I was starting to get from them.”

А я вот сессию сдала наконец-то!!! И кто придумал летом учиться, из года вгод, убеждаюсь, что это полный бред. Крыша едет, как у нас студентов, так и у преподов! Ну невозможно в такую жару сидеть в душных аудиториях.
Кстати, те кто скажет, что кондиционер - это спасение в жару, глубоко ошибаются. У нас в группе 2 человек с бронхитом слегли!!!
В общем, всем студентам - сил и упорства в сдаче экзаменов, а тем кто сдал - поздравляю с началом лета для нас!!! УРА!!!!
